What is MultiGov?
MultiGov is the first ever multichain governance system available to DAOs on Ethereum mainnet, EVM L2s, and Solana. MultiGov enables token holders to create, vote on, and execute governance proposals on any supported chain.

How it Works
MultiGov utilizes a hub-and-spoke governance model, integrating familiar components such as governor, timelock, cross-chain token transfers, and cross-chain messaging to enable seamless multichain governance.
Hub Chain
The central chain, or "hub," employs a standard ERC20Votes token using Native Token Transfers and an OpenZeppelin Governor with the Flexible Voting extension. This hub can be any supported EVM chain.
Spoke Chains
Each "spoke" chain has its own native ERC20Votes governance token and a spoke Governor contract to manage voting power locally. Token holders on the spoke chains cast their votes through the spoke Governor, which then aggregates these votes and sends them back to the hub chain via cross-chain messaging.
Voting Process
Token holders on the hub chain can vote directly on proposals. After the voting period ends, the hub chain tallies votes from all spoke chains and votes that were directly cast on the hub. Successful proposals are executed on the hub chain and communicated via cross-chain messaging to each spoke for automatic execution.
Proposal Creation
New proposals follow a similar process. They are created on the hub chain and broadcast to all spoke chains for voting.
